Founded in 1934 as J.M. Harder Plumbing, Harder Mechanical Contractors developed from a family-owned plumbing company into a mechanical contractor serving complex industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and institutional projects. The company's history includes five generations of family leadership, expansion into industrial process piping, early prefabrication, semiconductor and high-purity systems, and regional offices throughout the western United States.
