# Interview Practice

Practicing out loud before an interview makes the real thing much easier. The Metaintro assistant runs a short practice interview with you in chat, with realistic questions for the role and kind, specific feedback.

## How to start

- **From a job:** on a job card in chat, or on a job in **My Jobs**, choose **Prep for interview**. You can practice for that job specifically or practice general interview questions.
- **From any chat:** write, for example, "Let's practice for a job interview as a cashier".

## How a practice round works

1. The assistant asks one question at a time, shown as **Question X of Y**. A round is usually about five questions: about your experience, the role itself, situations you might face and sometimes a surprise question.
2. You answer in writing, in your own words and in your own language.
3. After each answer you get feedback: **What worked**, **What to sharpen**, and an example of a stronger answer. Each answer is also scored out of 4 on structure, specific details, fit to the question and results.
4. At the end you get an **Interview prep report** with your strengths, what to work on and a short list of what to do before the interview.

You can ask something else in the middle, skip a question or stop at any time.

## After the round

- Ask to practice again the questions you found hard.
- If the interview date has passed, the assistant may ask how it went and what you were asked, so it can help you prepare for the next one.

## Tips

- Answer as you would in the interview, not perfectly. Feedback helps most on a real first attempt.
- For "tell me about a time when…" questions, describe the situation, what you did and how it ended.
- Military or national service, volunteering and school projects are good sources of examples.
