## Description

AstraZeneca is hiring an Associate Principal Scientist in Viral Vector Downstream Process Development to lead scalable lentiviral vector purification from early development through clinical and commercial readiness. The role owns downstream strategy, scale-down and scale-up models, technology transfer, CMC documentation, regulatory support, process characterization, QbD, risk management, and continuous improvement, while leading matrixed cross-functional teams. Candidates need an M.S. with 10+ years or a Ph.D. with 7+ years of relevant industry experience, extensive viral vector or biologic downstream expertise, and experience with clinical or commercial processes. The annual base pay is $142,377.60–$213,566.40, with short-term incentive, equity-based long-term incentives, retirement, paid leave, and medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision benefits.
