## Description

Applied Materials is hiring a full-time Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] in Nishi Tokyo, Japan, to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment for customers. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems; customer communication; and occasional travel. Applicants need an associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification, along with 1–2 years of customer or field service support experience, basic diagnostic and mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in Japanese. The position is on-site, requires safety and clean-room procedures, and includes approximately 25% travel.
