## Description

The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician maintains the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of patient health records by filing and processing records in the electronic health record system, preparing and scanning discharge records, supporting audits and quality improvement, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and facility policies. The role requires 0–1 years of health information management or healthcare clerical support experience, with document scanning, indexing, EMR systems, EHR proficiency, and strong organizational and communication skills preferred or required. RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred.
