## Description

Empower is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, and lead microservices-based enterprise applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, Apache Kafka, and related technologies. The role includes architectural strategy, full software development lifecycle oversight, engineering mentorship, code and design reviews, TDD and BDD adoption, performance optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, at least seven years of professional software development experience including two years in a lead or mentorship role, and strong expertise in Java, databases, distributed systems, and software architecture.
