## Description

Arista Networks is hiring Senior/Lead Layer1 software engineers to develop control software for physical-layer networking components, including connectors, optics, transceivers, and forwarding engines. The role covers feature architecture, C/C++ and Python development, automated testing, hardware and manufacturing collaboration, customer and support troubleshooting, technical leadership, and mentoring. Candidates need a relevant degree plus 3–6 years of experience, expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python, low-level hardware experience, digital communication knowledge, UNIX or Linux familiarity, and strong software engineering and troubleshooting skills.
