## Description

The Library Assistant provides intermediate human support in a branch library on a substitute, on-call basis, with flexible evening and weekend work limited to 69 hours per month. Duties include customer service, circulation, card issuance, material processing, data entry, reference assistance, technology support, shelving, opening and closing procedures, and handling patron complaints. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, customer service experience, strong communication skills, basic computer and technological ability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, and candidates must pass a criminal background check and two NorthStar Digital Literacy assessments.
