## Description

Base is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to own mechanical components and assemblies for residential and commercial battery energy storage products from concept through production. The role covers CAD and prototyping with CATIA 3DX, thermal, stress, and structural analysis, material selection, manufacturing and supplier coordination, design for manufacturability, testing, and cross-functional integration with electrical engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or a related field, at least three years of mechanical design experience, CAD and tolerance-analysis proficiency, prototyping and manufacturing experience, and knowledge of materials science and DFM.
