## Description

Microsoft is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to lead the technical strategy and architecture for Substrate High Availability and storage disaggregation. The role owns the evolution of the current DAG/log-shipping model, the design of a fleet-scale erasure-coded storage service, and the longer-term fabric-native architecture, while driving efficiency, durability, performance, and operational improvements across exabyte-scale storage systems. The engineer will also partner with storage, M365 Core, and Azure infrastructure teams and leverage AI and intelligent automation for service operations.
