## Description

Safety-Kleen is hiring a Refinery Operator in East Chicago, Indiana, to support refinery operations or wastewater treatment plant work. The role involves sampling process equipment and tanks, loading and offloading caustic from tankers, preparing samples for laboratory analysis, entering data, completing shipping and receiving documents, performing environmental and MARSEC inspections, using a forklift, and handling other duties. The position requires flexibility to work all shifts, a high school diploma or GED, TWIC eligibility, and the ability to work in elements, at heights, and with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or GED is required, while 1–3 years of plant or industrial experience, wastewater treatment experience, forklift experience, and oil and gas experience are preferred. The starting wage is $25.98, with comprehensive health benefits and other benefits mentioned.
