## Description

Grubhub is hiring a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the architecture and evolution of its Discovery machine learning systems, including ranking, recommendation, retrieval, query understanding, calibration, and long-term diner-value optimization. The role owns cross-system design, sets technical direction, improves model evaluation and deployment standards, partners with product and platform teams, and mentors engineers. It requires an MS or PhD in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience, at least 8 years of machine learning systems experience including 3 years at staff-level scope, and expertise in deep learning, large language models, information retrieval, experimentation, and cloud ML infrastructure.
