## Description

Snap Inc. is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, implement, and operate critical and scalable services, including user identity, friend graph, and core persistence systems. The role involves collaborating with product teams, evaluating trade-offs, testing and debugging work, and applying best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, cost management, security, and production-quality code. Candidates need backend or distributed-systems experience, at least two years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience or equivalent qualifications, and the ability to work in an office at least four days per week. The position offers base salary of $133,000–$235,000 annually depending on the pay zone, plus equity in the form of RSUs.
