## Description

Affirm is hiring a Software Engineer for its Identity Decisioning team to build backend systems that validate consumer identity and satisfy regulatory protocols such as KYC. The role involves breaking down projects into tasks, collaborating with product, design, analytics, compliance, authentication, and fraud teams, monitoring system availability, and participating in on-call and growth activities. Candidates need at least 1.5 years of software engineering experience, backend development experience, proficiency in Python or Kotlin, familiarity with distributed systems and AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes, and strong communication and code-review skills. The position is remote for eligible Canadian provinces and offers CAD 133,000–183,000 in base pay plus health, wellness, tech, equity, and other benefits.
