## Description

Level is hiring a C++ engine engineer to optimize and modify a forked Godot engine for mobile and other constrained hardware. The role involves profiling and improving CPU, GPU, memory, binary size, loading, battery, and frame performance; working with memory allocators, asset streaming, rendering, shaders, multithreading, and platform graphics APIs; and making architecture decisions for lower-powered devices. Candidates need strong C++ experience, at least seven years of game engine or runtime experience, and experience modifying engine internals rather than building features on top of them.
