## Description

Observable Space is hiring a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain embedded Linux systems for robotic ground telescopes and on-orbit compute platforms. The role owns BSP and driver stacks across PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI CSI-2, GPIO, and other interfaces; brings up high-speed peripherals; maintains Yocto build systems and CI/CD gates; and collaborates on hardware-in-the-loop testing and product reliability. Candidates need 5+ years of embedded software or systems-level development experience, strong C and C++ skills, hardware-interface expertise, and the ability to debug at the electrical–software boundary. The position is based in the Los Angeles office with a hybrid arrangement requiring at least three days per week in the office.
