Each row is one announcement by one company, dated the day the company or a filing first made it public, not the day the cuts take effect. Months follow UTC dates. ### How jobs are counted Jobs affected is counted only when a source states a number. We never estimate one, so every total on this page is a floor: announcements without a stated number are left out of the sum, not counted as zero. ### As-of date Figures are as of November 2, 2026, and the newest change to a June 2024 announcement was on October 2, 2026. Announcements verified later can still be added to this month. An edition needs at least 5 published announcements before it is listed for search engines. ### Data Every row, all months, is in the [CSV](/layoffs/data.csv) and [JSON](/layoffs/data.json) downloads. Filter on the announcement date to rebuild this report. The [tracker methodology](/layoffs#methodology) covers sources and how to cite. ## Data and archives Free to reuse with attribution to Metaintro Every published announcement, all years, one row per event. Column names are stable, and jobs affected are blank where no source states a number.
