About 150 Louisville Logistics Jobs Are Expected at Arvato's New Warehouse Near the Airport
Arvato's new Louisville warehouse near the airport is expected to create about 150 jobs. See the open listings, shifts, benefits, local pay and how to apply.

Supply chain company Arvato has opened its seventh facility in Louisville, adding approximately 400,000 square feet of logistics capacity, and the site is expected to create approximately 150 jobs. This guide looks at the opening from the side of warehouse associates, inventory and shipping clerks, quality inspectors, supervisors who can operate forklifts and logistics office staff in the Louisville area. The 150 figure is a projection, not a count of posted vacancies, and Arvato gave the same 150 new jobs estimate in May 2025 when it announced the project. For Metaintro readers, the useful part sits on Arvato's own Louisville careers listings, and each job page shows the shift, the requirements and the benefits. Here is that detail, along with local pay data and a Louisville hiring event.
What Did Arvato Open in Louisville?
The opening was reported on October 5, 2026, and the company marked it with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by clients, employees, company executives, business partners and local stakeholders. The new, wholly-owned site adds approximately 400,000 square feet of capacity, taking the total Louisville footprint beyond four million square feet.
The building is meant to give additional fulfillment and distribution capacity for companies growing their operations across North America. The site was planned to serve both B2B and B2C clients in Arvato's core verticals of tech, consumer products, and healthcare.
The facility has more than 1,300 solar panels, along with electric vehicle charging stations and electrically powered heating. It also provides room for future expansion, so capacity can grow as customer requirements grow.
The site is built to strengthen Arvato's ability to handle increasing order volumes, and growth in online orders is the driver of logistics hiring described in E-Commerce Expansion Fuels Major Hiring Surge in Logistics.
Where Is the New Warehouse, and Why Does the Airport Matter?
The site is located near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, which gives Arvato access to a major air cargo hub. Its location offers late order cut-off times that can support faster direct-to-consumer deliveries and time-sensitive shipments such as spare parts and critical equipment.
The airport matters because of what sits on it. Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport ranks third in North America and fifth in the world in the total amount of cargo handled, and it handled nearly 7.5 billion pounds of cargo, freight and mail in 2025. The UPS Worldport air hub lies between the runways and connects Louisville to 220 countries and territories, with 5.2 million square feet of space and 155 miles of package sorting conveyor belts.
No street address was published for the new facility in the opening coverage. On the first page of Arvato's Louisville results, roles are listed at three sites, 2825 Transglobal Drive, 2500 Export Drive and 3101 Shadeswood Avenue.
Arvato bought a 396,600-square-foot, newly constructed warehouse near UPS Worldport from Core5 Industrial Partners for $51.5 million, in a deal reported on January 14, 2026 for the 3101 Shadeswood Ave. property. In May 2025, Arvato said it had acquired land to build a new state-of-the-art logistics facility.
How Has Arvato Grown in Louisville Since 2005?
Arvato established operations in Kentucky in 2005. It started with a single facility and a warehouse workforce of nearly 300, and by May 2025 it ran five facilities with over 1,000 in its workforce in Louisville and Bullitt County.
In February 2024, Arvato added a warehouse of approximately 970,000 square feet in neighboring Shepherdsville that creates more than 300 new jobs. At that point the campus employed 1,200 people at peak. That site was equipped with a 1.4-mile-long conveyor belt with a sorting system and robotic label applicators, and Arvato said it will implement Stretch robots from Boston Dynamics for unloading floor-loaded trucks and containers.
Arvato now operates more than 4 million square feet of space in Louisville and more than 9 million square feet across the United States. When Arvato announced the project in May 2025, it expected operations at the new site to begin in the first quarter of 2026, and the location offered the chance to acquire adjacent buildings for a campus of over one million square feet.
Louisville’s exceptional transportation connectivity and skilled workforce makes it an ideal environment for this expansion, Andreas Podwojewski, Managing Director of Arvato North America and Brazil, said in May 2025, according to the Arvato press release.
Which Arvato Jobs Are Listed in Louisville?
A Louisville search on Arvato's careers site returned 43 results, and the first page carried posting dates from Sep 10, 2026 to Oct 2, 2026. These are listings across Arvato's Louisville sites, not a list of the expected new jobs, so read each location line.
On that first page, three listings name the 3101 Shadeswood Avenue site.
- Warehouse Manager, 1st shift. This role calls for expertise in initiating requisitions for a high-tech warehouse, particularly concerning data center equipment, and oversees the front-end staff involved in that process, and it was posted on Sep 28, 2026.

What Benefits Do the Arvato Listings Offer?
The Louisville roles we opened offer benefits such as these.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance.
- A 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.
- Paid Time Off, including paid holidays, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
- Tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and training, plus commuter benefits and an Employee Assistance Program.
What the listings do not show is pay. None of the Arvato postings we opened, from the Inbound Clerk listing to the Warehouse Manager listing, printed an hourly rate or salary. Ask for the rate early in the process.
What Does Warehouse Work Pay in the Louisville Area?
Federal wage data gives you a benchmark. In the Louisville metro area, transportation and material moving occupations made up 13.2 percent of local employment in May 2025, compared with 8.8 percent nationally, for a total of 90,400 jobs. The group's average hourly wage locally was $27.79, compared to the national wage of $23.96.
The figures for warehouse-floor occupations, from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for May 2025, are below.
- Laborers and freight, stock and material movers, hand. 29,400 jobs at a mean of $21.37 an hour.
- Stockers and order fillers. 16,410 jobs at a mean of $19.73 an hour.

- First-line supervisors of transportation and material moving workers, except aircraft cargo handling supervisors. 4,190 jobs at a mean of $31.29 an hour.
These are area-wide averages, not Arvato's rates, but they show whether an offer sits near the local average for that kind of work.
Flexibility is often what our clients need most, managing director North America Andreas Podwojewski said, according to the Lane Report story.
How Do You Apply to Arvato?
Applications go through the Arvato job search site, where you can search by location and create an alert. Arvato can only accept your application through its online application portal, so apply online rather than in person.
Keep the paperwork simple. The company asks applicants to focus on a meaningful resume, and it does not require an elaborate cover letter. Put your forklift, reach truck and SAP experience near the top, since those skills appear in the Inbound Supervisor requirements and the Inbound Clerk requirements.
Check the location line before you apply. Roles on the first page of the Louisville results sit at Transglobal Drive, Export Drive or Shadeswood Avenue, and the Warehouse Manager listing asks for the ability to commute to 3101 Shadeswood Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40219. If you are new to warehouse hiring, any offer that asks you to pay a fee or move off the official portal deserves a closer look, a pattern covered in Stay Vigilant, Beware of Holiday Hiring Scams.
Is There a Louisville Hiring Event for Warehouse Workers?
The Bluegrass & Hoosier Hiring Expo was set for Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in East Hall B, 1 & 2, at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane, with free parking. More than 50 employers from Kentucky and Southern Indiana were set to look for workers, from manufacturing, logistics, health care, transportation and other sectors.
Arvato is not on the published list of top employers, which names firms such as Grainger, Sazerac and Winland Foods. Still, logistics is one of the industries represented. The event is run by KentuckianaWorks and Southern Indiana Works, the workforce boards for the Louisville and Southern Indiana areas.
Organizers ask job seekers to dress business casual, bring a valid ID and resume, and come prepared with their best interview skills. Bring multiple copies of your resume and be ready to talk directly with recruiters and hiring managers.
What This Means for Job Seekers, and What Should You Do Next?
The approximately 150 jobs are an estimate unchanged since the May 2025 announcement, and no hiring timeline was given for them at the opening. Arvato has been growing in Kentucky since 2005, and it now operates more than 4 million square feet of space in Louisville.
Here is what we would do.
- Search by location, not just by title. Run a Louisville search on the Arvato job site and create an alert, since the Louisville roles we saw at Transglobal Drive, Export Drive and Shadeswood Avenue are all listed there.
- Match the shift pattern. The B shift on the QA Inspector listing means 6:00am to 6:30pm days on Wednesday to Friday plus a shorter 6:00am to 2:30pm shift every other Saturday.
- Know the local rate before you talk pay. Hand laborers and material movers in the Louisville area averaged $21.37 an hour in May 2025, so ask what the role pays and compare.
- Build equipment experience. The Inbound Supervisor role requires the ability to operate powered equipment, Forklift, walkie rider, Reach, Picker, and Sit-down.
- Watch for the next hiring event. KentuckianaWorks regularly runs hiring events at the Goodwill West Louisville Opportunity Center, and it lists its hiring events on its own page.
