Haas Automation is looking to hire more than 1,000 employees at its new Henderson facility, and it held its final job fair of the year Saturday at its new plant on Via Inspirada. The company makes machine tools, which are automated mills, lathes and other machines that shape metal and other materials, and the Henderson site is the future home of Haas Automation’s second factory, which the company calls an expansion of our operations, not a startup. Starting pay is around $23 an hour, and some positions eventually pay upwards of $100 an hour. For Metaintro readers who work with their hands, run machines or design parts, this guide covers which roles Haas is filling, what current Henderson listings pay and ask for, when the plant is due to run, and how to apply.

What Exactly Is Haas Hiring For in Henderson?

The hiring push covers positions throughout the factory, and Haas is looking to hire operators, engineers, machinists, inventory associates, assemblers and support staff. The Haas careers page for Henderson lists six hiring areas, and available positions may vary as hiring progresses.

Yes, for some roles, as these listings show.

Haas also plans to relocate 73 jobs out of Southern California under a WARN notice filed in August. Those relocating jobs include assemblers, operators and machinists on various assembly lines, with a planned move before the end of the year. Haas chief human resources officer Cheryl Johnston said the notice does not announce any layoffs, and that it applies only to certain relocating employees whose employment is expected to continue without interruption.

Haas has about 1,700 total employees at its Oxnard headquarters. In October 2025, Haas vice president Peter Zierhut said Oxnard will remain the company’s headquarters and will still have about 1,000 employees.

When Will the Henderson Plant Actually Open?

The plant is still being built, as the Henderson location is an active construction site and is not open to the public, and people are asked not to visit or apply in person.

The plant is expected to help double Haas' annual revenue once it is fully running. In October 2025, Haas was generating about $1.2 billion a year in sales. Murray said the plant is going to give us capabilities to go to two to $3 billion in revenue.

The quality of applicants has been outstanding, Haas general manager Bob Murray said, according to the KTNV job fair report.
