Saik'uz First Nation is a Dakelh nation a short distance from the geographical centre of British Columbia. The name Saik'uz is derived from the Dakelh word for 'on the sand' and refers to the sandy soil upon which the main community is located. The main community, Saik'uz, is located on the east end of the Nulki and Tachick lakes, 14 km south of Vanderhoof, BC.
