Microsoft is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to drive product and program analytics for Microsoft skilling experiences, including AI Skills Navigator. The role focuses on learner journeys, funnel and retention analysis, metrics, experimentation, causal measurement, telemetry, competency and skill modeling, and insights that improve learning outcomes and product strategy. The position requires a relevant doctorate with at least one year of data-science experience, or a master's degree with at least three years, or a bachelor's degree with at least five years, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with learning platforms, AI, large-scale enterprise data platforms, and analytics technologies such as Python, R, SQL, KQL, PySpark, and Databricks. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 119,800–234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
