Ghost Job Checker
Paste a job posting link. We check whether that role is live at the employer’s own career site or applicant tracking system, and link you straight to it.

How it works
Where our data comes from
Metaintro pulls jobs directly from employers’ career sites and from 47 applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and iCIMS, about 11 million jobs in all. We don’t copy listings from job boards.
How we match your link
First we look up the posting’s own address at the employer’s applicant tracking system. If that misses, we compare the requisition ID in your link with the employer’s live postings. Last, we compare the employer and job title, and we say when a match rests on those alone.
What a result means
A result reports what Metaintro observed in its index at the time shown. It says nothing about why an employer has or hasn’t posted a role.
Limits
Coverage gaps
We don’t index every employer. When we don’t index an employer’s career site, we say so instead of guessing.
Systems we don’t read
Some employers run their own in-house hiring sites or a system we don’t pull from yet. Postings there can be live even when we don’t find them.
Timing
We revisit career sites on a schedule. A new posting usually shows up within a day. A closed one usually drops out within two days, but for some employers it can take a week or longer. Results are cached for up to 10 minutes.
Job board links
We never open LinkedIn or Indeed pages. For those links we read only what the link itself shows, and you can type the employer and job title.
Same title, different opening
An employer can have several openings with one title in different places. A match on employer and title alone may be a different opening from yours.
