The client is hiring a Senior Software Architect – Application Modernization for a three-month-plus project in Berlin, with 80% remote work and on-site availability of two days in the first week and two to three times per month thereafter. The role analyzes complex application landscapes, assesses technical debt, designs target architectures, documents dependencies and risks, coordinates with business and technical stakeholders, and provides technical direction for modernization and consolidation measures. Candidates need a relevant degree, several years of software development and architecture experience, at least five years with complex application landscapes, and expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST, microservices, Docker, architecture modeling, DevOps tools, and stakeholder management.
