Description

The 1st Year Instrument Apprentice field technician will learn from Instrument Journeymen and other apprentices while assisting with installing, testing, calibrating, repairing, and inspecting process control and measurement instrumentation and monitoring devices. Responsibilities include reading P&ID drawings, installing and repairing transmitters, controllers, analyzers, control valves, pumps, and small piping and tubing, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting with pressure and electrical test equipment, maintaining field records, and providing on-call support. The role requires a high school diploma, relevant safety certifications, a clean driving record, and successful drug and alcohol and background checks; oil and gas experience is an asset.
