Crescent City Schools is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional to support a self-contained classroom of 1:8 elementary students in the Aurora Program. The role involves maintaining student safety, supporting academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development, collaborating with teachers and other school professionals, developing educational materials, and implementing de-escalation techniques after CPI training. Applicants should have an associate’s degree or two years of college, be highly qualified as a paraprofessional, and have experience working with children with moderate to severe disabilities; bilingual Spanish/English ability and knowledge of social-emotional and behavioral interventions are advantages.
