ODOT District 4 is accepting applications for seasonal Highway Technician 1/CDL Driver positions in Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull Counties. This temporary unclassified appointment may last up to 1,000 hours and may require up to 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call work. Duties include highway maintenance such as flagging, pothole patching, guardrail repair, litter pickup, mowing, and snow and ice operations. Applicants must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a tanker endorsement without an airbrake restriction, basic arithmetic and English skills, and three months of training or experience operating basic equipment.
