Pilgrim’s is hiring a Safety Intern to support its safety and occupational health team by improving accident and illness prevention programs, conducting hazard and risk assessments, preparing safety reports, investigating accidents, performing plant inspections, managing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting PPE, machine guarding, ergonomics, and equipment safety. The role requires enrollment in a four-year university or pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum GPA of 2.5, and the ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Internship terms are part-time for the fall and winter semesters and full-time for the summer semester, with compensation of $22 per hour plus a $2,500 relocation stipend.
