PPG is hiring an on-site Aerospace Product Developer in Burbank, California to develop aerospace sealants, adhesives, and coatings from concept through commercialization. The role involves formulating new products, testing and derisking materials, managing qualification and customer risks, supporting application trials, and collaborating with customers, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and senior management. Candidates need a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related field, strong communication skills, and availability to travel 10–20% annually; only U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible. A PhD candidate starting salary is $110,000–$120,000 with a sign-on bonus.
