Description
Textron is hiring a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Intern for a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship. The intern will assist with the design and development of mechanical and electrical systems, including vehicle frames, steering, suspension, axles, drivelines, seating, roll cages, body panels, lighting, electrical harnesses, circuit boards, and microprocessor programming. Responsibilities include completing project tasks, developing functional specifications and engineering standards, creating packaging layouts, validating products, performing tolerance studies, releasing engineering components and drawings, applying GD&T, documenting design issues, and participating in cross-functional design reviews and DFA/DFM assessments. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field; Microsoft Office, CAD, Visual Basic, or other programming languages are preferred, along with Matlab.
