ESP Associates is hiring a Hazard Mitigation/Resilience Planner intern in Morrisville, North Carolina. The intern will support hazard mitigation and resilience planning projects for state, local, Tribal, and other stakeholders by assisting with technical planning, data collection and analysis, risk and capability assessments, mitigation and resilience strategies, reporting, meetings, plan preparation, and coordination with jurisdictions, state emergency management offices, and FEMA. The role requires undergraduate enrollment in planning or a related field, communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, plan or report preparation experience, and the ability to pass drug screening, background checks, and driving-record requirements; federal and state hazard mitigation knowledge and GIS experience are preferred.
