Waymo is hiring a hybrid onsite PhD Research Intern focused on exploratory research and statistical evaluation of new theories, presentation to focus groups, and software engineering design and implementation. The role requires current enrollment in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field, Python fluency, statistical knowledge, and basic machine learning knowledge; software engineering experience in Python and strong communication skills are preferred. The position offers $85 per hour and is open on a rolling basis until filled.
