Description
The LANGMN:AFS-Language Interpreter provides consecutive Oromo interpretation for school meetings, events, and parent-teacher conferences at Aurora Public Schools. The role supports culturally sensitive communication between non-Spanish-speaking families and school staff, maintains confidentiality, adapts to schedule changes and on-call needs, and collaborates with staff and parents. Fluency in Oromo and English, strong consecutive interpretation skills, cultural competency, communication skills, flexibility, and basic computer literacy are required; prior interpretation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
