The Second Line of Defense (2LOD) Controls Testing partner within Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Northern Trust focuses on reviewing and challenging risk management processes and controls, particularly in Enterprise Risk Management, Entity Level Controls (ELCs), Cyber, Technology, and Non-Technology Controls. This role involves validating control testing methodologies, preparing plans, identifying findings, reporting results, and assessing the effectiveness of risk management programs and controls. The partner ensures alignment with Enterprise Risk Management Framework requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry standards, contributing to continuous improvement in ERM programs.
