Description
Thunder Bay Pulp & Paper is hiring a 2nd Class power engineer to monitor and operate steam-plant and recovery-department equipment, maintain low- and high-pressure steam systems, support turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and gas systems, and perform isolation, lockout, clearance, and safe-work-permit duties. The role also provides relief as a Utilities Shift Supervisor and follows a four-on, four-off 12-hour shift rotation. Candidates need a 2nd Class Certificate, Canadian work eligibility, industrial experience, and the ability to work safely independently or as part of a team. Compensation starts at $38.88 per hour and can reach $54.20 per hour when working as a USS, with shift and Sunday premiums and additional course-based pay.
