Description
Midsouth Steel is hiring a Machine Operator to operate and maintain machinery used in structural steel fabrication and processing, including plasma tables and table saws. The role involves reading engineering drawings, adjusting cutting and drilling settings, performing routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, collaborating with project managers, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The position requires prior machinery operation experience, knowledge of metal fabrication, technical-drawing interpretation, safety knowledge, basic computer skills, and strong attention to detail and teamwork. The shift is Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with mandatory overtime if assigned on Friday and Saturday.
