Description
The employer is hiring a full-time 2nd-shift Mechanic's Assistant/Blaster for its Bethlehem, Pennsylvania shop. The role performs mechanical preparation and finishing work on turbomachinery components, including disassembly, blasting, solvent cleaning, coating application, painting, welding, fixturing preparation, and light mechanic assistance. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, basic computer and math skills, and willingness to work in a physically demanding shop environment, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. At least two years of industrial or machine-shop experience and two years of component-assembly and dynamic-balancing experience are preferred.
