The Toolmaker fabricates, assembles, fits, maintains, and repairs injection molds and tooling components using manual and CNC machining equipment. The role interprets engineering drawings and CAD files, performs mold trials, troubleshoots tooling issues, maintains documentation, and uses precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances. It requires at least three years of related experience, an associate degree, and completion of a certified tool and die apprenticeship program; knowledge of injection molding, CAD/CAM, CNC programming, and precision mold-shop technologies is preferred. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing, bending, and machinery work, with a stated salary of $25-$50.
