Description
The 2nd W/K Electrical Engineer will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and instrumentation systems on a cutter suction dredger, including power generation, distribution, propulsion auxiliaries, dredging systems, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, generators, motors, and safety equipment. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical isolation, documentation, compliance with maritime and electrical safety requirements, emergency support, and technical guidance to ratings, trainees, and contractors. A bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or automation engineering, 5–10 years of experience in dredging or heavy industries with automation, and basic STCW training with a medical fitness certificate are required.
