Description
Operates and monitors MCVD lathes and gas delivery systems to manufacture fiber-optic glass preforms/core rods. The role performs glass-working with oxygen/hydrogen torches, controls process parameters, conducts equipment setup and troubleshooting, inspects product quality, documents production data, performs routine maintenance and calibration, and follows cleanroom, safety, quality, and environmental procedures. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical or associate education preferred, and approximately five years of relevant manufacturing or process experience preferred.
