Description
The Production Manager oversees production supervisors and leads, coordinates daily production activities, and ensures safety, food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, equipment readiness, staffing, and operational efficiency. The role manages employee training and certification, collaborates with USDA, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and other production managers, supports continuous improvement, and troubleshoots minor mechanical or operational issues. It requires knowledge of protein or food manufacturing, preferably poultry, along with HACCP, SSOP, USDA, and production-management-system knowledge; an associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred, and 1–3 years of production, manufacturing, or food-processing experience is required.
