Description
The Quality Control Operator is responsible for quality functions and operating waterjet, abrasive waterjet, shot peen, grit blast, and thermal spray machines to process components in PROGRESSIVE’s Process Services Department. The role includes visual inspection, maintaining product flow, completing quality-control documentation, managing non-conformance records, measuring critical attributes, preparing and evaluating materials, and operating process-services equipment. The position requires a high school education or equivalent, computer literacy, materials and manufacturing knowledge, print-reading ability, a valid driver’s license, and Hilo certification; it is safety-sensitive for FAA purposes and involves standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, dust, and loud noise.
