Encode, Inc. is hiring a full-time, 100% onsite Software Engineer in Seal Beach, California, with a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The role designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software for space-systems ground-segment applications, including APIs, backend services, user interfaces, algorithms, architectures, and integrations. Responsibilities include Agile and DevSecOps development, code reviews, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, project and supplier management, and software research. The position requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in a relevant technical field, an active Top Secret or DoD Top Secret clearance, and at least three years of software development experience in space systems and ground segments using Python, Java, TypeScript, or FastAPI. The role is full time, requires travel up to 10% to El Segundo or Colorado Springs, and offers a maximum bill rate of $159.52.
