Description
Samford University is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide proactive developmental academic advising and case management for assigned student populations. The role supports academic planning, student engagement, retention, persistence, and graduation by interpreting degree requirements and academic policies, monitoring student progress, conducting outreach and interventions, connecting students with campus resources, maintaining advising records, and collaborating with faculty, staff, the Registrar, and other campus partners. The position also contributes to orientation, recruitment, enrollment, assessment, and student-success initiatives, and requires a bachelor's degree, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency with advising and student information systems, and support for Samford University's Christian mission.
