Description
The Academic Instructor, YouthBuild is an adjunct contract role teaching basic reading, writing, math, algebra, science, and social studies to YouthBuild participants ages 16–24, including GED preparation, individualized learning plans, testing reporting, and occupational or postsecondary guidance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, teaching ability, computer and public-speaking skills, and NC Teacher Certification or a NCCCS-recognized credential at hire or within two years. The schedule is variable, up to 20 hours per week during academic terms, with a salary of $27.50 per contact hour.
