Description

The USC Thornton School of Music is hiring an Academic Program Coordinator to provide administrative, financial, and operational support for academic and programmatic activities in the Division of Contemporary Music. The role coordinates meetings, events, guest engagements, schedules, budgets, purchase orders, vendor payments, travel, reporting, records, and recurring annual processes while supporting faculty, students, staff, and external partners. It is 100% onsite at USC's University Park Campus, requires regular scheduling flexibility including occasional overtime and weekend work, and offers a base salary of $28.00–$32.50 per hour.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Previous Experiences: Two or more years of progressively responsible administrative, operations, program coordination, or financial support experience
Preferred Qualifications: Strong financial acumen, including budget tracking, invoice processing, and vendor management
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Workday, and other technology platforms
Strong organizational and project management skills
Exceptional customer service orientation
Ability to manage projects and recurring annual processes
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines
