Description
SLAC is hiring an Accelerator Technologist II - Cryogenics Plant Operator for a one-year fixed-term, onsite rotating-shift role supporting the cryoplant operation of the Linac Coherent Light Source-II. The position monitors and adjusts cryogenic systems, operates and diagnoses complex equipment, maintains records, troubleshoots instrumentation and controls, performs preventative maintenance, and coordinates multi-person projects. Candidates need relevant laboratory or industrial mechanical or electrical experience, cryogenics and instrumentation knowledge, technical communication and computer skills, and a valid California Class C driver's license.
