The Otay Water District is hiring two current vacancies: an Accountant and a Senior Accountant, both reporting to a Finance Manager. The Accountant will focus on revenue and expense analysis, budgeting, reconciliations, cash management, month-end close, inventory, developer deposits, and billing controls. The Senior Accountant will rotate among payroll, audit and financial statement preparation, cost-benefit analysis and internal controls, and budgeting. Both roles require a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; the Accountant needs two years of professional accounting experience, while the Senior Accountant needs five years of professional accounting experience including two years of auditing experience. The Senior Accountant also requires an active or inactive CPA license, and both require a valid California driver’s license. Compensation is $48.68–$60.85 per hour for the Accountant and $56.35–$70.44 per hour for the Senior Accountant, with annual ranges of $101,263.51–$126,578.82 and $117,225.10–$146,530.81, respectively.
