Description
Marathon Petroleum Company LP is hiring Accounting Interns for spring, summer, and fall semesters. Interns receive training in petroleum-industry dynamics, assignment-specific work, and software use, with placements in operations accounting, refinery accounting, tax accounting, and audit assurance and advisory services. Duties may include processing business documents, analyzing accounting and financial data, preparing journal entries and general-ledger reconciliations, preparing tax information, testing SOX and non-SOX controls, and assisting with budgets. The role requires concurrent enrollment in a bachelor's or higher degree program, preferably with an Accounting major, strong academic performance, U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship, reliable transportation, and availability for 40 hours per week.
