Description
Cogent is hiring an Accounting Manager to build its accounting function from the ground up. The role owns the general ledger, monthly close, accounts payable, vendor payments, invoicing, collections, accounting policies, internal controls, and tax and compliance filings, while also applying AI tools to accounting workflows. It reports to the Head of Finance & Operations, starts with third-party contractor support, and may grow into managing a small accounting team. The position requires at least four years of accounting experience, including exposure to public accounting or in-house accounting at a scaling company, and experience designing or rebuilding accounting processes.
