Description
The County Comptroller assists the County Comptroller in developing the county budget, maintaining general accounting systems and ledgers, ensuring financial compliance, overseeing bill payment and department budgets, preparing financial reports and audit responses, managing purchasing functions, and supervising a payroll coordinator. The role also assumes the comptroller’s accounting responsibilities when the comptroller is absent and directly supervises two accounting employees. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of financial management and accounting experience, supervisory experience, and strong accounting, data-processing, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
